Travelling to Bali

Travelers to Bali, Please be informed to safeguard your passport and other important valuable belongings. There have been many instance of Passports and other valuables that have been reported missing from rooms in villas. Please kindly put all your valuables and passports/ ID Cards safely in the hotel safe or any secure location.

Its best to make photocopy of them and carry them when travelling around Bali as there are many instances the originals have been misplaced or stolen.

  • Following the recent volcanic activity of Mount Agung which located in Karang Asem regency, northern east of Bali Island, the Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) has announced the alert level for the Mount Agung volcano is on level three with exclusion zone or the red zone of 4KM radius from the crater.
          The distance between Mount Agung to the capital Bali is about 70 KM while the other tourism popular areas are between 60-80 KM.
  • The new  Presidential Decree concerning the Immigration rules includes that the overstay penalty is now increased from 300.000 to 1.000.000 IDR (about 70 US$) per day.
           When counting the days of stay (generally 30 on a tourist visa) day 1 and day 30 must be included.
           Note that the overstay fee cannot be paid by credit card at the Immigration Counter.
